CONCRETE MIXER DRIVER

Position Overview
B.L. Harbert International is seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Concrete Mixer Driver to join our construction operations team in Lilongwe. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely operating a concrete mixer truck to deliver ready-mix concrete to designated areas within the project site, ensuring timely and accurate delivery while maintaining equipment in excellent working condition.
Key Responsibilities
Operate concrete mixer trucks to transport and deliver ready-mix concrete to designated pouring areas on site.
Inspect the vehicle before and after each trip to ensure it is in proper working condition and report any mechanical issues immediately.
Maintain cleanliness of the truck, drum, and chute after each delivery.
Follow proper loading and unloading procedures to ensure safe and efficient operations.
Communicate effectively with batching plant personnel, site foremen, and supervisors for delivery schedules.
Adhere strictly to all site safety rules, traffic regulations, and company policies.
Maintain accurate delivery and mileage logs as required.
Perform minor maintenance or assist mechanics when necessary.
Qualifications & Experience
Malawi valid Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV) or Class EC driver’s license.
Minimum 3–5 years of proven experience operating concrete mixer trucks or heavy construction vehicles on large projects.
Sound knowledge of concrete mixing, delivery procedures, and vehicle operation.
Strong understanding of safety practices and defensive driving techniques.
Ability to perform routine vehicle checks and basic maintenance.
Physically fit and able to work long hours or in demanding site conditions when required.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Previous experience on international or large-scale construction projects is an added advantage.
